– Why he will like it: you can play split-screen online; also there are zombies in it. According to xbox360.ign.com, “[the game] takes much of what made Modern Warfare 2 great and slightly expands and modifies it.”

2. Assassins Creed: Brotherhood

– Can be played on: PS3, Xbox 360

– Rated: M

– Why he will like it: According to digitaltrends.com, it’s “one of the best-selling and best-rated games of the current generation of consoles.”

3. Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

– Can be played on: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC

– Rated: E

– Why he will like it: According to xbox360.ign.com, “you can play as a cop or a racer, and you increase your rank or wanted level as you run people off the road, drift around corners, and drive into oncoming traffic.”

4. Red Dead Redemption

– Why he will like it: The game is set in the Wild West, and according xbox360.ign.com, the game is authentic, from the characters to the story, to the spirit of the Wild West!

5. Gran Turismo 5

– Why he will like it: According to GamePro.com, the game is “an amazingly deep racing game that offers an almost mind-boggling amount of racing challenges, cars, tracks and features. Superb Online Mode that gives the game incredible longevity.”

6. DJ Hero 2

– Can be played on: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii

– Rated: T

– Why he will like it: He gets to be the DJ for one, and according to xbox360.ign.com, “[the] track list is aimed at a wider audience than the first game with lots of current Top 40 hip-hop and club hits from artists like Pitbull, Lady Gaga, and Tiesto.”

7. Battlefield Bad Company 2: Ultimate Edition

– Why he will like it: According to ps3.ign.com, “[the game] ups the intensity and visual prowess of its predecessor, while still delivering one of the most compelling multiplayer games around.”

8. God of War III

– Why he will like it: According to arstechnica.com, “the game feels like it has been painted on your screen. Even the flashback sequences, using more traditional animation and a hyper-stylized look, add much to the game.”

9. Halo: Reach

- Why he will like it: A bold statement made by ps3.ign.com, “[the game] prominently features Michael Jordan. His Airness is the greatest basketball player of all time and NBA 2K11 is the greatest basketball game ever made.”
