With finals approaching, make sure you’re well stocked on the goods that will enable your studying and keep you up at night! No student wants to have to make a grocery store pit stop amidst their cramming session!

The holy grail of an all-nighter is one simple drink: a cup of coffee!

While coffee surely does the trick, it can get tedious to drink coffee all night long (and dangerous too!). The Mayo Clinic recommends  no more than 200-300 milligrams of caffeine a day or else you may experience unpleasant side effects including: nervousness, restlessness, and an upset stomach.

Here are 3 alternatives to coffee you should keep handy before finals begin that will help you stay up as late as you need:

1. Jamba Juice Energy Drink

This energy drink puts all other energy drinks to shame! Not only is it delicious, it’s also natural so you’re not getting a ridiculous rush of energy from junk since the drink contain no artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors, 0g of trans fat, and no high fructose corn syrup. What’s more, each 8.4 ounce can contains 70% real fruit juice and the caffeine comes from natural sources.

2. Ben & Jerry’s No Fat Coffee Fudge frozen yogurt.

This ice cream is a great way to change up your normal studying foods since, well, it’s ice cream!.  It contains a whopping 85 milligrams of caffeine in one cup–and let’s be real, who only eats one cup?

3. Dannon Coffee Yogurt

If not for the all nighter, this is great to keep for breakfast–assuming you haven’t overloaded on caffeine already! This yogurt– which contains 45 milligrams of caffeine in eight ounces–is a great breakfast and way to make sure you’re not going to fall asleep in the middle of your exam!

Lastly, remember to buy lots of snacks! Having caffeinated foods and beverages can make the onset of side effects of too much caffeine faster. Needless to say, the best snacks would be fruits, nuts and vegetables; but in the end of the day, whatever keeps you motivated and awake is the way to go!
