Choosing a career path while you’re in college is never an easy thing. It seems so permanent, so final. And while the Internet provides a plethora of resources and experts, it can be difficult to decide where to begin.

In health care, specifically the field of nursing, there are many different paths you can take, depending on where your passion lies. There are also different schools of thought related to how much education a nurse should pursue: Is a bachelor’s degree good enough? Should you consider a masters degree in nursing?

This infographic from Nursing License Map helps aspiring nurses better understand their professional opportunities, with the idea that each state has its own board of nursing and specific requirements for nursing licensure.
